Last year in 2019 I was really depressed, so bad that I didn't want to live anymore, I thought I had lost everything, my husband left me, I was in a lot of debt, and my beautiful mum died. I just couldn't cope any more and I was desperate and anxious. I was binge drinking, taking a lot of morphine for pain and trying to hold down a job, I just couldn't cope and I ended up in hospital after an overdose. When I come out, I was put in touch with Jo, a CBT counsellor from Inclusions at Grays, I saw her every Tuesday at a clinic near me, we talked a lot and she made me feel relaxed and calm, she showed me that I was very ill and I wasn't a bad person, I could get better by using the tools from CBT and how to manage my worrying. Jo helped me get my confidence back and gave me a new and happy way to live my life. I am so grateful for all her help.
"She showed me that I could get better"
