"Experience on ward excellent"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

Arrived at A&E via emergency ambulance on Sunday, A&E service excellent, however organization very poor. Admitted on ward in the evening. No patient transport with "spare drivers" standing around in A&E. Therefore bed-blocking taking place.

Experience on ward excellent.

Dear plutobr76,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. I can only imagine how difficult a time this was for you. I know that our A&E departments have been under significant pressure and this has resulted in longer waits than we would want for some patients. It is lovely to read though the care you received whilst waiting was excellent.

The team in the acute stroke unit will be delighted to read that you had an excellent experience. I will ensure this is shared with the team.

I hope you are now on the road to recovery.

Best Wishes

Christine
