"Disappointed by the maintenance"

About: University Hospital Ayr / General Medicine

(as the patient),

My feedback is about two matters - the medical side and the maintenance of the hospital

Disappointed by the maintenance of the hospital wards, in particular the blinds at the windows had loose or missing vanes.  Worried about the state of the repairs - my daughter had to fix my blinds in room 5.  There was a person doing some maintenance but they didn't seem enthusiastic, shuffling about not really doing anything.  I feel that the company the NHS employ to oversee maintenance are not doing their job.

Medical side - first class, excellent nursing staff.

Am concerned about the effect of lack of maintenance.

Thank you for taking time to share this with us and I am glad you found the nursing staff to be ‘excellent’ on the medical side.

It really is important to hear about your experience. I wonder if you could pop on to Care Opinion and give me a little more information so I can pass this to the correct team, as I have been unable to track down a ‘room 5’ in Ayr Hospital. With more information, we can also ensure the blind is fixed for future patients
