I attended A&E after falling at height from a tree.
From the moment I entered the hospital site help was on hand. There was wheelchair available and I was booked in promptly by the lady on reception who had all my details accurately held.
My initial observations were taken within 30 minutes. It wasn't long before I was assessed by a doctor who I felt was thorough and clear with what he was actioning.
I went for a scan and was dealt with quickly and again clearly explained what to expect from the lady doing the scan. She helped promptly by others as I needed assistance moving around.
On returning back to where I was being treated I was administered pain relief and had further obs taken. My results from my scan and my bloods were not that long coming through and I was okay to leave. Before leaving the doctor was clear what I had to do over the coming days and reassured me that further help was on hand should I feel the need to be back in touch.
I felt the quality of the care and attention I received from all those who attended to my needs was very good and a credit to the hospital. There could have been up to 9 people that were in and out but all were excellent. In my case I was thankfully in pain but not broken. I felt in very safe hands with professional people.
