"Day Surgery "

I rarely leave reviews and more to the point rarely see positive ones, but sometimes you experience life changing events in which actually praise deserves to be sung.

I was referred to the hospital for a delicate operation from my GP! From the off I was welcomed by the surgeon on my very first appt who assessed my situation and after years of speaking to other professionals he was the first who truly understood my concerns. He was extremely professional throughout. Explained what the next steps clearly and at my pace so that I fully understood what to expect.

Next I saw one of the nurses who did my obs again was so professional and understanding did everything calmly was such an effortless experience.

Weeks later I was brought in for my procedure, the nursing team took my in and looked after me made sure I was comfortable and did everything possible all extremely professional throughout I was extremely apprehensive but they were there every step of the way! I saw my surgeon again and he explained again what would happen introduced me to the aneasatist and off we went. I woke up the nurses comforted me, the surgeon explained everything and went through my follow up plan with me.

I was a bit concerned after the procedure and phoned the helpline number I was provided spoke to a nurse who got me straight back in I saw the surgeon who reassured me.

Every single member of the day surgery team from the receptionists, admin staff who booked me in, the nurses, operating staff and my surgeon went above and beyond anything I could ever expect from such a cause. Although I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through the operation I did I would recommend seeing the staff here. They know what they're doing, do it at their best and truly give you that personal experience
