"My brother's injury."

About: Western General Hospital / Intensive Care

(as a relative),

My brother was injured. He received a CT in Victoria hospital Kirkcaldy and it was decided he needed to be transferred to the Western General hospital. He had emergency brain surgery and once out of theatre he was taken to intensive care, where he stayed for 2 and a half weeks. From my arrival at ICU, I was made to feel welcome. The staff were so knowledgeable I felt my brother was in excellent hands. There was a time where it was not known if my brother would survive his injuries and the kindness and compassion shown to us was unreal. I cannot thank the staff enough for everything that was done for my brother.

Dear Kaaygirl

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely feedback with us following your brother's stay in the intensive care unit at the Western General Hospital.

I was really pleased to read how the staff were able to make you feel welcome whilst caring for your brother at what must have been a very difficult time for everyone.

I have shared your kind words with the team. l do hope that your brother is recovering and back in the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

With best wishes

Jeannette
