"Wonderful service"

About: Derriford Hospital

I attended Derriford for a pre op assessment on 14 January 2020 & my letter had stated it may take 2 hours or more to complete plus can be up to 1 hour before seeing a nurse however I was seen within 5 minutes of arrival. There were about 3 stages of nurses to see covering basics then an in depth talk regarding my up coming operation & lots of advice questions & pre op plus post op care & preparation. These stages I noticed on a chart on the wall under the television so I then knew what was happening on each stage. The final being health swabs. I have to say all the staff were extremely friendly & very professional. Many thanks as I know I am in good hands

Ruth Hemes, Ward Manager, responded to say:

Dear Pippa

Thank you so much for taking the time to send your compliments.

As a staff group we are continually working to ensure that every patient experiences the very best journey through pre-op assessment.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I will pass them on to the whole team.

Regards

Ruth
