About: Garston Medical Centre

Appointment for 11:00am for a medical test to renew my professional drivers permit. I logged in at the surgery and a message said appointments are running 31 minutes late!!! I had to pay £150 for this service. Is compensation offered? I think not:( Other surgery prices were around £110. Maybe changing surgery could have been a better offer. In addition I had a blood test a few weeks ago and advised the results would be available when I visit the surgery on a certain date. I did so and was advised not all the results were ready!!! Was asked to make appointment to speak with the GP. When you have to work many, long hours every day to pay bill's and you're struggling to do so, I would expect the surgery to honour their own instructions and not have to unnecessarily have me lose income over their lack of organisation. And I'm still waiting for the medical!!!!!

The Private Medicals are booked at the end of a normal Surgery and they can sometimes be delayed when a prior patient is seriously unwell and requires immediate attention. The medical involves an indepth review of the person's medical records to fulfill the DVLA requirements for a smooth renewal of the Driving Licence.

Blood test results can be delayed by the Hospital processing them and this is unfortunately beyond our control. The clinicians will need to receive all the results, so as to understand fully any health issues, before they are able to decide on the best treatments.
