"patient service from minors"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I waited 3 hours for a minor to be told they don’t think it’s worth an X-ray because I didn’t want to tell them my ex battered me & I told them I dropped something on my foot instead. You can clearly see it’s in a bad way with the bone sticking out & they’ve sent me away in a lot of pain because they don’t think dropping something on it is good enough.

Dear Harley Quinn

Thank you for contacting us to share your experience. I am concerned to hear how you have sustained your injury. It is important that you are examined and the clinician understands the exact mechanism of injury.

I hope that you can represent to the emergency department and speak to the nurse in charge in confidence. If you are not able to attend then please contact patient affairs on 01355 585325 so that we can discuss further.

I hope to hear from you soon

Lise
