"Very hardworking and diligent"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ear, Nose & Throat / Audiology Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Short Stay Surgery

(as the patient),

I attended ARI on a day case basis for a Nasal Septoplasty.

The staff in ward 301 and the theatre were excellent. Very hardworking and diligent. Very attentive to my needs and they showed continual observation and monitoring.

If I have any concerns, it is the admission time against the projected theatre time, In my case I was admitted at 07.30 with a planned theatre time of 13.00. As it happens I didn't go to theatre until 14.45 due to more urgent need for the theatre ( which I completely understand)

But, the job got done and I was well looked after

Dear Brocklebec

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you had a good experience on ward 301 and with the theatre staff. Your feedback is very encouraging for all the staff who looked after you and is much appreciated.

I have noted your comment regarding admission to theatre time and this is something that we are currently working on and have introduced staggered admissions within the department for our general surgery patients and would hope this is something we can roll out to all the specialities that utilise the short stay surgical unit.

I hope you recover well from your procedure

Kind regards

Anne
