I ended up unexpectedly being in hospital for 10 nights. The atmosphere from nurses and doctors was first class. The over riding impression was that they were all extremely helpful, caring and friendly; they could not do enough to help. Many thanks, that was truly appreciated by both me and my family.
I am coeliac and lactose intolerant. There was a menu to choose from, and the breakfast girl sent for gluten free bread, toasted it and brought it freshly to me every morning. Excellent, thanks. On New Years Day only sandwiches were delivered but the nursing staff arranged for me to get a salad from the staff canteen, much obliged.
Contact with the doctors (especially Amanda) was very accessible, so very helpful to me and my son.
To call out a few specific names; Kathleen charge nurse, Lesley staff nurse, Ashley nurse who washed my hair at night. All fab.
The cleanliness of the ward could not be faulted. The open visiting is ideal.
I wanted to write to say a huge thanks to everyone on the ward.
"truly appreciated by both me and my family."
