My grandson ( age 8 ) attended the day surgery department at Crosshouse hospital today. He was really nervous and so was his mum. From the minute we entered the department we where greeted by helpful, friendly faces and treated with kindness.
Even though it was a busy morning, with lots of kids, the staff were excellent. They introduced themselves to my grandson and keep us informed about what was going to happen throughout the stay.
All went well, he was a little star as always and we got him home before lunch time today.
I would like to say a big thank you to all of the team in the children's Day surgery department, you do a wonderful job.
