"appointment voice jail"

About: Glovers Lane Surgery

spent 54 minutes in the queue from 8.04 am until 8.58am listening to the piped music finally told I was queue position 30? still 29 people in front of me from 8.04am , finally reached position 1 and then it went to an engaged tone, rang back only to be placed back in the queue, my husband jumped in the car only a 5 minute drive to the surgery only to be told, sorry don't understand what happened there we have no appointments, I've just given the last one away. So frustrating a complete waste of time, I appreciate the surgery is busy and I'm not the only one but this is not the first time this has happened, your telephone system seems to be inadequate.

Please accept my apologies for what happened on this day, I can understand how frustrating this must have been. Unfortunately we had a technical issue with our phone system, which once we were aware of was immediately investigated and the problem rectified. We do experience a large volume of calls every day but were also very short staffed in reception on that day, due to illness. Our telephone system is normally very reliable and offers a call back system called queue buster, which allows you to be called back by reception when you are next in the queue, which saves you holding on. Again please accept our apologies and we hope you have a better experience next time. Please also note you can book appointments on line or use our e-Consult service available on our website www.gloverslanesurgery.com. Gill Branton, Practice Manager
