"My husbands appointment"

About: The James Cook University Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My husband had an appointment at 1. 30. First of all, they looked for his file so an hour or so. Later they found it, by then x-ray was heaving so had to wait ages then he had to see his consultant. Then after all that he was pushed to doors as they said they had informed ambulance he was ready.

2 hours later he was freezing cold still waiting and he can't move as he in a wheel chair and his leg is up as he not allowed to put it down. He phoned home to tell me so I tried to call the trauma clinic - to my surprise it was closed, they had locked up and left my husband near doors.

I had to phone trauma ward to see what they could do, thank god the nurse went down and took him to the ward his leg was killing him he was in pain all night through some ones stupid mistake
