"delay in seeing doctor"

About: Fulwood Hall Hospital

(as the patient),

I arrived for my 11 a.m appointment at 10.50 a.m.   I registered with the receptionist and was told to take seat.   I am a private funded patient.   It was extremely busy, but by 11.25 a.m I asked the receptionist how long the delay was going to be as I had had conversation with two other patients whose appointment time was after mine and by this time they had seen the nurse, doctor and left.   Receptionist asked if I had seen the nurse prior to the doctor and when I said 'no' she said she would have a word with her.   Another ten minutes passed and still no sign of seeing the nurse.   By this time there were no other patients waiting beside me and a gentleman whose appointment time was 11.50 a.m..  The receptionist once again asked if I had seen the nurse and miracle upon miracle the nurse called me in and it was quickly followed by seeing the doctor at 12.00.   I find this unacceptable as other patients with varying appointment times after me had been and gone.   I am now seriously questioning if I will privately fund my another cataract operation.

I am very disappointed by the way I was treated.
