I recently had a transperineal prostate biopsy at the Adult Care Day Unit at King George Hospital,Ilford.
I am nearly 70 and was very worried about it
I had to be there at 7.30am and everything ran like clockwork.
The staff were very helpful and reassuring and the surgeon who did the op was kind and answered all my questions.
I was in the theatre by 10.40 and I woke up in the recovery ward. ..The nurses were brilliant especially as my blood pressure dropped and they had to stabalise it.
I cant thank them enough.
I left the hospital at 2.45 .
Although the biopsy is not so pleasant I cannot thank the staff enough for making me at ease and for all their care. Thank you King George and the NHS.
