Although there are a few good doctors at the practice, the Reception Team are particularly unhelpful. There have been a number of issues including lack of records/repeat prescription info being transferred, forgetting to register a new patient on Patient Access, incorrect information given resulting in medication running out and absolutely no desire to help access emergency medication while awaiting an appointment.
One doctor in particular is slightly inappropriate in terms of enforcing his views and his comments. I understand this may be an age/cultural thing but it isn't appropriate. For instance, I had comments on medication I was taking for menstrual pain stating that at my age I shouldn't have pain and that having children would sort it out. I am in a same-sex relationship currently trying to self-fund IVF treatment so found that comment hurtful and unprofessional. The same doctor has also commented on my tattoos saying I shouldn't have them as I have lovely skin. I am certain no harm was meant by these comments but that doesn't make them OK.
The Doctors also very much like to 'wait and see' which although appropriate in some situations, I also feel that a lack of willingness to further investigate symptoms will one day lead to a serious misdiagnosis, if it hasn't already. I have only ever been referred or received treatment upon request or under instruction of my fertility clinic.
