"Hospital stay over Xmas"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Medicine (Wards 2,10,12 and 17)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward18 - admitted just before Xmas, cannot speak highly enough of the staff, the nurse who was on duty when I was admitted stands out as very special. The food I have had has been excellent, and plenty of it. Regular cups of tea. The care I got was outstanding and every member of staff was so friendly and attentive. Ward and toilets are very clean. I am being discharged tomorrow but have actually enjoyed my time as a patient. Planning my discharge has been smooth, seen by many people beforehand.

Dear UHM27 (as a volunteer/advocate)

Sorry to hear that you had to spend Christmas in hospital. It is good to hear that your experience of the catering and cleaning standards was a positive one. I will pass on your comments to the catering and domestic staff.

I hope you are making a good recovery.

Regards

William
