My wife was transferred from A&E to the ITU on Friday 3 Jan. She was comatose following a UTI, with severe confusion of mind, and then a seizure. (It turned out it was all due to a sudden reduction of sodium in her blood.)
The care and treatment she was given was second to none. And not only did the staff deal with her so carefully - they explained everything to me very clearly.
She was unconscious for 24 hours in all, but once her sodium level had been rectified, and also IV antibiotics given, she made such a rapid recovery that she was discharged the next day (Saturday 4 Jan).
Amazing! What superb treatment!
"Excellent care in the ITU"
