"Kind staff went out of their way to look after me"

I had an IUD coil fitted this morning, something I was extremely nervous about as I have found previous internal examinations/smears very painful. The doctor could not have been more considerate or kind in her manner. Unfortunately the process was very very painful for me and I was very unwell afterwards, but both the doctor and the chaperone were very patient, calm, professional and reassuring, providing lucozade, sick buckets, painkillers, and even a bed to lie on for almost an hour after my fitting until I felt able to leave. Whilst this was a very stressful and painful experience, I felt so well looked after throughout, and I felt that all the staff genuinely cared about my well-being rather than just processing a long list of patients and churning them out as quickly as possible. Thank you so much for making a difficult experience bearable!
