When did the new legalisation start regarding the stopping of 6 month repeat prescriptions. Just been with my partner to find out why nothing had been set up at the chemist for their 6 x 1 month prescription which had been the regular way they collected their tablets . The receptionist said legally they now give 28 day prescriptions only . We have been given no notice about this . Nothing was mentioned when we attended Calvert lane before Christmas to ask for a 6 x 1 months repeat prescription and were told it would be set up . However nothing was done. My partner has been on these tablets for 4 years , so has had 8 x 6 months of repeat prescriptions . However nearly 50 %of the time we have had to go back to the surgery because of a failure to set up the repeat prescriptions. Now one of us will have to attend Calvert Lane to request a prescription and pray that it will be actioned. Then return 48 hours later to pick up the paperwork and hope it is available . Now its 2 visits a month instead of 2 a year increasing our carbon footprint because we will be in the car.
