"How do you get an appointment at this surgery"

About: Furlong Medical Centre

went to the surgery today for a same day appointment , got there at 8 o’clock and there was 3!people in frount of me and we were all told that there was no appointment left . Don’t understand if there are no routine appointment in the mornings how can all the same day appointments be gone within 3 minutes of opening . Asked for a routine appointment and was told 17th June that’s nearly 3 weeks wait . Would love to know how you get to see a doctor this was with lung problems and trouble breathing .

Thank you for your comment. The practice is aware that there has been issues with the availability of appointments and we apologise to those patients who have been affected. Despite a national shortage of GPs the practice has managed to recruit a new GP, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Practice Nurse and Pharmacist which has resulted in an increased number of available appointments.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Manager if you wish to discuss your concerns in detail.
