"Can never get an appointment"

Last appointment I had took 4 weeks to make. I called this morning as I think I have a stomach ulcer and I’m told all the appointments have gone for today. I asked if I could make one for this week or next week and was told I have to ring up on the day. Whenever I ring on the day all the appointments have gone. It’s like towels on the sun beds scenario, you have to get up before you go to bed to make the appointment and it says they’re accepting new patients!!!!

Thank you for your comment. The practice is aware that there has been issues with the availability of appointments and we apologise to those patients who have been affected. Despite a national shortage of GPs the practice has managed to recruit a new GP, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Practice Nurse and Pharmacist which has resulted in an increased number of available appointments.
