My father (82 years old) was unable to make an appointment at Fracture clinic due to ill health but was rescheduled to this week. When we arrived it became clear an error had been made and the appointment put in for the same date in February instead. The receptionist who we had seen before ( but not made the rescheduled appointment ) went to see the specialists and was able to get him seen straight away. The fracture specialist sorted his cast out and both receptionist and cast specialist were so helpful and supportive. They could easily have just said it’s in Feb but they sorted a time, his records and put him at ease.
They showed how brilliant the NHS device is and the caring nature of the employees. Please thank those two individuals in Fracture clinic today. I am CEO of my own company and to have staff who would deliver this quality of service is exemplary. Thanks for all Northampton General Hospital has done for my father since he broke his ankle whilst walking at Pitsford Reservoir before Xmas. Superb care both A & E, on the wards and in theatre. The fracture clinic optimised the quality of care received. Thank you
