1 year ago I was invited for a health& lifestyle consultation by the healthcare nurse, after a simple blood test and weigh in I was faced with the prospect of becoming a diabetic if I didn't change my diet for the better, I received lots of great advice, regarding what to eat & what to eliminate or include in my diet & how to check the sugar content in foods I never even thought contained sugar, WOW what an eye opener,& also lots of encouragement i left feeling hopeful that I could do this, even though I had previously gained quite a few stones in weight over a long period due to a thyroid problem. At my next visit I was hopeful that I would no longer be in the pre diabetic category but sadly that wasn't the case ,I immediately felt very dissallusioned & would have just given up & accepted my fate had it not been for the nurse's very kind words & further support & dietary advice, oh! & a very

reasonable weight loss I had managed, which spurred me on to continue, I thought ok I'll give it another go, so today 6 months later I returned for my appointment & was highly delighted to be told I was no longer pre- diabetic & had managed to drop two dress sizes with the extra weight I had lost, I am absolutely ecstatic & can't thank the healthcare nurse enough for all her knowledgeable help & support throughout, thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart, I am feeling so much better for it & I encourage anyone who needs the same help, to seek an appointment with the healthcare nurse as she knows her job inside out, thank you so so much you have my highest recommendation.
