"Ward 22 patients at risk"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

Whilst staff are friendly and mean well, they seem to lack basic training.

Staff use drag lifts when moving frail patients.

Staff do not know much about the patients beyond their names.

They do not know if patients walk or use a wheelchair.

Staff do not pass information on from one shift to another.

Staff do not notice when patients spit out tablets.

There is a dis-connect between ward staff and other departments.

Family are scared to complain in case relatives suffer for it.
