I'm a student from Bristol, I came back to Brighton for Christmas and got a throat infection. I was in a lot of pain and decided I needed to see a doctor. As I don't get post to my mum's I was unable to register.
I called 111 not knowing what to do. They were so helpful and asked me various questions to determine where to send me. I was called back by a nurse and set up a out of hours GP appointment. The waiting time was amazing, especially when you think about how hard the NHS is worked.
Went for my appointment in the out of hours next to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, was met with a friendly receptionist Abby and was seen quickly.
Overall this experience was incredible for me, I was so panicked and feeling like I had nowhere to get it sorted. It's amazing that our health service can make things so easy for us, feel very blessed to have it.
