"Fantastic Care Given"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / General medicine

(as a service user),

I was waiting in the reception area of CT3 this morning for a CT scan when a HCA arrived with an elderly patient in a bed.

The care and attention that he gave to the lady was second to none and couldn’t be faulted and spoke to her the whole time explaining what he was doing.

He made sure that the blanket was tucked in and adjusted her pillows so that she was comfortable.

He treated the lady with the utmost respect and dignity and wouldn’t have treated her any better If the lady had been his own mother.

It was lovely to see how he treated the patient and he is a credit to the hospital and an example of the care and compassion that staff give to patients and deserves recognition as people are too quick to fault the hospitals service at times

Thank you for taking the time to write and highlight the excellent care that you witnessed from this member of staff towards the patient they were accompanying to for their CT scan. We will try to use the information you have given to locate the HCA you saw and share your feedback with them and their line manager, but even if we are unable to accomplish this, we appreciate your kind words about their caring and compassionate manner.

Kind regards
