The community breastfeeding support team was absolutely amazing when I had my 3rd baby in December. When I ran into some problems breastfeeding my daughter their help and support was incredible.
I had a phone call from them the day after I got home from the hospital to check how things were going. This was great for me as I’m not always the best at seeking help. They arranged to visit the next day.
Collette came and spent lots of time with me going through techniques and tips to help us on our breastfeeding journey. Unfortunately the next day things got harder and I was on the brink of giving up due to the pain I was in. Again Collette came back and spent lots of time with us. She was so patient and understanding and really made me feel at ease at such a difficult time.
Thankfully things turned around after this and we were finally winning at breastfeeding and actually enjoying it! Collette stayed in touch to make sure we were still on the right track and I know I can call them at any point if things change.
Collette and the breastfeeding support team saved me! This is an invaluable resource which we are so lucky to have in Fife! I can’t thank them enough!
