"Appalled by treatment "

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

My doctor ordered me to attend A&E on nye due to terrible pain after ankle injury , I struggled to get there on arrival booked in and my doctors actions were questioned as to why I was there ( I had been crying in pain all eve and could not stand !) as I’d had X-ray day before showing no broken bones . He wanted it looked at again for possible major soft tissue injury or hidden bone issues etc .

When I was called into the triage the male nurse was rude to me showed me my X-ray and said no breaks that’s that .

Which I agreed but couldn’t understand the pain .they xrayed other parts and no breaks .i tried asking if it could be ligament damage etc , as I’ve been crawling round my house unbelievable nasty pain / he was unsympathetic spoke to me like a child . Said I was 40 so ought to know how to use crutches when I tried ( never had to use any in my life ) I wish I had never gone there now .

My gp was trying to help me and after being there on nye I felt exhausted and belittled and uncared for .

I’m sorry I inconvenienced you with my pain .

In the future I will stay at home .

My pain has continued today I couldn’t even move to get myself out of bed this morning .

I hope for the hospitals sake they are correct and that this is just a “ bruise “” and heals soon as of my 40 years of life and having a child I’ve never had this type of pain before and I’ve had many of strained ankles in my 40 years too I forgot to add .

So Thankyou for looking at it but I can’t thankyou for putting me down and making me feel terrible and I really hope I don’t have to return and see the fracture clinic .

Happy new year
