My son had elective ENT surgery yesterday and the care we received from walking through the doors in waterfall house ward 17 to leaving the surgical Day unit was excellent. As a sister in the NHS I know the limits and constraints of an underfunded and overstretched health service. Despite this every staff member we met did their job, with skill, compassion, kindness and dedication. I was terrified and anxious even though it was a minor op but everyone explained everything and put my mind at ease. Special mention to Batman’s mom (the nurse on ward 17) ENT consultant and Registra, consultant anaesthetist and the lovely HCA on Surgical day unit who looked after us. Thank you all
"Amazing staff"
