"Left a housebound person in pain"

About: Cranbrook Surgery

Yet another complaint from me. Currently temporarily housebound post major abdominal surgery. No one able to attend the surgery for me. I called up surgery yesterday spoke to receptionist and they had received my discharge summary and I requested a repeat of the pain meds prescribed as I’m in excruciating pain. Receptionist spoke to Dr and said that Dr said she would do it but I need to request via pharmacy. Rang pharmacy who told me it’s the Dr who would issue the script to them as they have the discharge letter but understanding my predicament they said they’d look into it for me. Low and behold I received no script. Was left in severe pain over night. Called up surgery today and receptionist told me I have to go to the surgery and request the meds! This receptionist said Dr doesn’t take requests over the phone! Well this wasn’t what yesterday’s receptionist said. Told her I don’t understand your system. Said she is only doing what Dr instructs. However yesterday it was confirmed Dr would do script. There is no compassion. This surgery is ridiculous. I know my discharge summary also states I need a blood test - but guess what the GP hasn’t even followed up or contacted me, truth is they would need to arrange home phlebotomy for me- which I’m guessing they don’t have anyway. Severely disorganised and untruthful- absolutely no trust in this practice and it’s drs lack of compassion and clinical acumen.
