My wife was a patient in ward 8 Glasgow Royal Infirmary for four days in December and during that time the care she received was first class. Nursing staff, doctors , auxiliary staff and and porters all deserve to be commended for their contribution to my wife's wellbeing.
I must however single out the contribution made towards my wife's care a young nurse called Rachael who was in the view of all my family a complete gem or as one of my family commented " a modern day Florence Nightingale.
Caring , approachable and compassionate, a total credit to both the hospital and the nursing profession.
Both my wife and myself personally told her that if her parents witnessed first hand her devotion to her job they would be bursting with pride.
On behalf of all of my family i would greatly appreciate if our sentiments could be conveyed to Rachael and all her colleagues on Ward 8 for the sterling work they do.
Yours in appreciation
"Exemplary care for my wife"
