In November 2019 I suffered a gall stone attack. Was doubled up by the pain all evening and night. Went to ayr a & e at 5 am. I was seen straight away and admitted. Went through the usual tests then pain relief administered. As this was the 3rd or 4th attack I was to go for an ultrasound. Unfortunately the hospital was extremely busy and were struggling for beds and didnt manage to do the ultrasound that day. I volunteered to go home and return the next day for the scan. This was done and I was informed the gall bladder would be better to be removed.
I then got a letter to go for a pre - op for mid December. At the pre op I indicated I was keen to have the operation ASAP and would come to any cancellation at short notice. I received a call the next day asking if I could come in a week later. That was the best Christmas present I could have wished for.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff who not only made this possible but for the professional way they go about their job. My experience was one of complete satisfaction in every aspect of my time under your care. Forever grateful
Yours
