"Fantastic care shown by receptionist"

I called the surgery at about 8.20am this morning as had been up most of the night with conjunctivitis and ear ache. I normally call as soon as the surgery opens if I need an emergency Appt, so was disappointed but not surprised when I did get through and there were no more appointments left. I spoke with the receptionist who was amazing. I told her that I had underlying medical conditions and needed to see a doctor. She explained that all the appts had been taken and the other options included going to the poly clinic or calling the ‘hub’ after 2pm for an Appt. The receptionist kindly offered to call me if any appts were cancelled. I was preparing to get dropped off at the poly clinic when the phone rang - true to her word, the receptionist offered me a cancelled Appt at 10.30. It’s not often doctors receptionists are given the recognition when the do a good job. Thank you again for your kindness today.
