About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

Having a contraceptive implant for 15 months with no issues at all - I experienced bloating, spotting and pains in my arm where the implant was a to the point where I couldn’t even lift my arm up - I couldn’t see my doctor in Leicester (where I am at for university) as I was home in Yorkshire for Christmas. Went to the walk in centre at Dewsbury as was in a lot of pain - was told to travel to Leicester to see my doctor !!!!

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am really sorry to read of your experience and can only imagine how frustrating this must have been for you. Unfortunately, the Walk-In-Centre at Dewsbury Hospital falls under the responsibility of our Locala colleagues. Therefore, I would suggest you contact Locala direct to inform them of your disappointment with your interaction with the Doctor.

Their contact details are: enquiry@locala.org.uk

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Patient Liaison Improvement Lead)
