"Very busy ward but exceptional care"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Medicine (Wards 2,10,12 and 17)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 14 - have been in the ward for nearly a week, although it’s the wrong ward I am in, the medical staff see me everyday and are hoping to get me discharged for tomorrow. The food is not very good, so I have food brought in for me. The cleaners are always busy but it’s an old hospital. It is very noisy at night.

Dear UHM32 (as a volunteer/advocate),

I am sorry to hear that you did not like the food during your time in UHM. there can be many different reasons for this. Patient have the opportunity to speak to a member if the catering staff to discuss any issues by asking a member of the nursing staff.

The domestic staff work very hard in an ageing building to maintain the cleaning standards, I will pass your comments to the staff.
