On Sunday morning on the 8th of December, whilst at home, my wife suffered a severe heart attack. I called 999, the Ambulance crew arrived and immediately went into action, basically keeping her alive. When we arrived at the hospital she was rushed into surgery where she was operated on and one hour later she was in the Coronary Care Unit being looked after; the surgeons had saved her life!
Whilst in the Coronary Care Unit, where she was for the next five days she was looked after and cared for by the excellent staff there whom I cannot praise enough. In my eyes all the people mentioned above are nothing short of heroes and I am getting emotional now as I write this but I mean it.
I suppose all hospitals are similar but it is only when you have this kind of experience that you really appreciate the fantastic work done by all those involved so my wife and I would like to take this opportunity to humbly say thank you to everyone, they should all feel proud about what they do on a daily basis.
