Unfortunatelly, didn't have a nice experience 2 days ago (December 2019) in A&E with a caring side of it to my client with MS (I am live-in carer).
I've started to work in hospitals in early 90's and am fully aware what's going going on in situations like I've experienced in Princes Roya Hospital in Farnborough.
I initially wanted to help carers (verbally and physically) how to tranfer my client from his wheelchair to a hospital bed, BUT ... I've been told off and sent out of that room :-(
They were 4 (four) carers in there and they wrongly transferred my client from the bed to his wheelchair. First of all, they haven't used proper hoist and when they finally managed to transfer him to his wheelchair, he was in a wrong position and down his chair, which needed strapping him, in order NOT to slip down the wheelchair :-(
These carers should be PROPERLY trained for these situations and not allow this to happen. Because of this, my client had a bandage moved from his pressure sore on his bottom :-( ... Luckily nothing major has happened.
