As 2020 draws to a close I felt it was the right time to thank you all at the Avenue Surgery for your first class care, consideration and hard work that you all put in to keep up such high standards year after year.

I have been a patient of yours for nearly twenty years now and to my mind you follow the Round Table Syndrome which includes doctors,nurses, receptionists management and patients all working together as a team.

My own Primary Care Doctor has literally saved my life this year as at the age of 86 the body doesn't always keep[ up with the mind and it is so comforting to belong to a Surgery where the whole team have a positive attitude towards the patients despite the present situation within the NHS.

Firstly the Management team keep up with the constant changes made by the NHS Trust, keeping us informed with superb professional TV screening shown in reception.

The waiting area is always spotless and in comparison to some areas in our hospitals very comfortable. You may not be seen very often but your information and objectives are based on patients needs.

Our Nurses are positive and kept very busy. Much blood has been drawn with no pain at all.

Behind the reception area the team are polite and caring also, and I am impressed by their telephone manner.

The telephone system is so improved and one hopes that Patients who can - phone at sensible hours.

There is also a clocking in machine and a post box for repeat prescriptions.

The Avenue Surgery is run as a first class business should and everyone appears to be pulling their weight.

We have very experienced Primary care Doctors - who do just that - really care and I always feel motivated on leaving after an appointment, and can honestly say 'Always'

In this day of social media which I was not born to, it saddens me to see poor reviews anywhere and if this surgery ever has one maybe an apology could be given. Sleep on it before you write in.

The Avenue Surgery is one of the best in our city and I feel so lucky that I know I have this backing if and when it is needed.

There are many aspects of the Surgery's work carried out that - at my age - I am unaware, but I thank them all for caring for and being there for all matters covered by this extremely competent Practice.

So a huge thank you from me and my daughter as both of us will be well looked after whenever needed.
