"Delay in treatment"

About: Woodend Hospital / Elective Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have been waiting 14 weeks following receiving an MRI scan, in relation to ongoing pain around my hip, to receive an outcome from my consultant and an option for treatment going forward.

On multiple occasions I have contacted them to chase up the outcome of the results, each of these telephone calls have ended with escalating these queries to the consultant but I have yet to receive a reply. I indicated that the pain I am experiencing continues.

I am concerned that the ongoing delay continues to add to the delay in treatment. I appreciate there are orthopaedic waiting list pressures in Grampian but I feel I have waited a significant amount of time. I do not wish to make this a formal complaint, but I am seeking an update on my treatment plan going forward.
