"First Pregnancy"

About: Lorn & Islands Hospital

(as the patient),

It was my first pregnancy and I was under the care of the Oban Lorn and Island Maternity unit. All the staff at the maternity unit were amazing and special thanks to Elayne who was my midwife for all of my pregnancy. This continuity of midwife allowed me and my partner to build a valuable relationship with Elayne which made me more comfortable and relaxed within my pregnancy as I was quite nervous initially. This buildup of trust was invaluable especially when my birthing route changed to an elective section.

Also wish to thank Rosie who went out of her way to provide us with hypnobirthing techniques that I could use during my section, these techniques helped me to remain calm during the birth and helped towards making the birth an ejoyable and lovely experience.
All the staff in the Oban unit are friendly, kind, helpful and make you feel at ease. I was honestly sad to be discharged as the unit is such a lovely team.
