About: Heathfield Suite / Gynaecology University Hospital Ayr / Heathfield Suite

(as the patient),

I took all the water I was told too. The girl could not see and asked me to go outside and drink more water which I did... When I returned I was told they could not see and would have to have some sort of internal.

I did not know what was going on and next thing I felt was pain.... I appear to have a bladder problem ever since and would have written sooner if I had known about this site. The doctor has checked for bladder infection and its clear... I really think this doctor/nurse in the heathfield suite should be more sensitive... Also maybe check with the patient if there was any reason they could not have this unexpected test....

Anyway going back to see my doctor as the problem is still continuing...

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Celeca,

I have been asked to post this on behalf of Barbara, Lead Sonographer in Obstetrics

"Firstly, thank you for your feedback.

Please accept my apologies. I am sorry to hear you had an unpleasant experience whilst visiting the ultrasound department. We certainly do not wish anyone to feel uncomfortable during an examination and I am disappointed to hear that your experience was unpleasant while you attended the ultrasound department. This is certainly not how we wish anyone to feel when attending for an ultrasound scan. I would like to look into this for you and if you would be in agreement with this, I am contactable on 01563 825319

Kin regards,

Barbara
