"Service to support people going through an anxious time"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

I attended the Gynaecology Department earlier this week after a very quick (within three weeks) referral from my GP.   I was very impressed by the service and care I received throughout the visit.   All the staff were so kind and reassuring, explaining every step of the process.   It seems to me that there had been an enormous amount of thinking and planning put in to organising this "one stop shop" service to support people going through an anxious time.   Thank you to everyone involved in making this type of service available in my locality.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about the service you received from us recently - we are so grateful for all feedback we receive from patients, service users and families and it means everything to our staff when we share these reviews with them, good or bad.

We recognise waiting for results or information can be extremely stressful when people are trying to understand what may be the cause of certain symptoms, so I'm delighted the one stop shop gave you all the answers you needed. Lovely too, that this efficient care was provided by staff who were kind, reassuring and focussed on the things that mattered to you. It's just how we would want it to be.
