"I was extremely nervous"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

I was extremely nervous before arriving but all staff were absolutely fantastic from the minute I arrived until the moment I left. The procedure was uncomfortable and at times painful ( declined sedation) but only lasted for 20mins. Straight after I was up, dressed had a cuppa and a slice of toast then drove myself  home within 40mins of having the procedure. I have suffered no ill effects. Infact l popped into Sainsbury for a few items on my way home.. Cannot fault the professionalism of the staff  and care I received was 1st class..

Dear Whittakery

Thank you so much for taking time to feedback about your recent visit to the QMH Regional Endoscopy Unit. I certainly agree its not an enjoyable procedure however I was delighted to here that you felt supported throughout your journey. I will pass your comment on to the team, and am sure they will be delighted to hear about the professional care they provided.

Kindest regards

Ann Walker ( Charge Nurse)
