"A fight to get anything, referrals, medication."

About: Nantwich Health Centre

My wife had a mastectomy nearly 4 years ago, has been bombarded with chemotherapy, radio therapy, hormone treatment, which has left her with permanent bone damage, oncologist prescribed ibuprofen gel and told her to use when necessary, previous surgery were fantastic had no problems at all in getting prescription, here it is a fight every time, just put in request for a repeat, turned down, have to go through whole scenario every time of explaining why it is required. Even in the beginning, the life saving drug tamoxifen was refused, you have to spell it out for them. It is a complete waste of our time, the surgery’s time, not to mention the expense of having to make an hours round trip twice to get the medication that should have been issued with other items. Also a stupid online ordering system, not all of the long term medication is listed, to have non listed items you have to order a listed medication so that you can progress to the next screen on which there is a ‘message’ box, in which you can order the non listed medication, you cannot access this screen without using the first screen. ‘System Online’ the portal used by our previous surgery was far superior, all medication was listed, alongside of which was the date when it could be repeated, there was also a message box, very easy, to use. The 3 or 4 different portals used by this practice are hopeless.
