"Grateful to the support line"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecological oncology

(as the patient),

After a hysteroscopy and biopsy I was told I needed to have a hysterectomy quickly. I was given the phone number of the clinical nurse support section and told I could ring them anytime (within working hours of course). As I live 40 miles from the hospital this was a great blessing. As I do suffer from anxiety this was a lifeline for me.

Emma and Vicki who answer the phone have been so kind, understanding and patient with me.  They know who I am as soon as I ring and have been so encouraging, supportive and informative all through.  They feel like best friends who I could confide in.  They assure me I will be able to speak to them over the next few years while the consultant monitors me.

I am so grateful to them and there department for the reassurance and support they give me.
