"I left the clinic feeling happy and hopeful"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

My six day old baby was seen in the Infant Feeding Clinic with difficulty feeding.  He was assessed thoroughly, and the midwives listened to my concerns and priorities.  Tongue tie was diagnosed and he was referred to ENT appropriately.  All of the staff were extremely kind, warm and knowledgeable.  They stayed late helping me express milk for him.  Not being able to feed my baby was physically and emotionally hard, yet I left the clinic feeling happy and hopeful that we would be able to establish breast feeding.

My baby is now a thriving, exclusively breast fed 8 week old baby and I am so grateful for the warm care that we received in clinic.

Please be assured your lovely words of praise will be passed on to the infant feeding clinic team for their attention.
