"Professional and friendly staff"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

We visited Ward 43 to see my Aunt who was recovering from a stroke.

I was disappointed and concerned about some visitors complete disregard for the notice outside the ward clearing stating “2 visitors” to a bed!

There are some very, very unwell patients on this ward and for other visitors to completely ignore the impact their noise and chatter is potentially having on other patients and indeed the staff is a disgrace!

The staff should not need to “police” the number of visitors to a bed, visitors need to show show common courtesy and respect!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback following your visit to Neurosciences at the RVI, to see your Aunt. We are pleased that you found the staff to be professional and friendly, however we are sorry that you experienced some visitors disregard to the notices concerning visitor numbers. We are currently reviewing the visitors policy for the Trust and we will remind ward staff of the current rules in place locally.
