"Excellent care with my Cancer diagnosis and treatment"

About: General practices in Lothian Western General Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer, aged 46 and a father of 3, in June 2019 - very scary, confusing and worrying. I couldn’t have asked for better or more support from everyone at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh and my GP Dr Ross, Craiglockhart Medical Group & nursing team... and it keeps on coming! I’m on round 10 of chemotherapy, with many more and planned operations to come. Feeling positive and optimistic for a healthier 2020, with massive thanks to everyone in my NHS team. Wonderful people, fantastic professionals and hugely appreciated.

Dear Newpaulasa

Thank you for taking the time to post such lovely comments. I am pleased to hear that you have had good support from the Team at Western General and your GP Dr Ross and nursing team. I understands how scary it must have been for you and your family when you received your diagnosis but am delighted to hear how positive you are. I wish you well with your ongoing treatment and for a healthier 2020.

Kind regards

Audrey Campbell
